ThetaHealing: You do what???

As a ThetaHealing® Teacher I am often asked by students and practitioners ”What do I call myself?”  To me the question is a bit perplexing and at the same time I totally understand why they ask it.  When I ask why they wouldn’t call themselves a ThetaHealer® or ThetaHealing® Practitioner, I am met with the same old answer: “But no one knows what that is.”  I ask them what they would prefer to call themselves and they usually say things like a spiritual healer, intuitive healer, intuitive counsellor, spiritual counsellor… and the list goes on.

Don’t worry, I have also been on this very journey.  In the past when I met people and they asked me what I did, I would think about how to describe what I did because I “knew” that they wouldn’t know what ThetaHealing® is.  I would say “I’m a Spiritual Healer and Teacher” and they would reply “What is that?” or simply “Huh!”.   Then I would say “well actually I am ThetaHealer®” then they would say “Huh! What is that and why didn’t you say that  before”  and then quickly become confused and lose interest.

In today’s society, the average person is bombarded with hundreds of thousands of  “advertising” messages a day and you only have a very short period of time to get someones attention.  To keep it, you need a compelling message, otherwise you lose them.  There is a saying in marketing, “If you confuse them you lose them!!”  And this is true when you introduce yourself and tell people what you do.

ThetaHealing® has been around for approximately 15 years now and to be honest  I would have expected that its name would have more of a presence than it does, but I am not so surprised due to the fact that people have a reluctance in using the name.  And this has left us where we are today, but I trust not for much longer as there are many more people in ThetaHealing® that understand Marketing and things are finally changing for the better.

I was at a Business School residential recently and we were invited up to the microphone to have our business names critiqued.  People from all different industries got up, told their story and were critiqued.  Then it was my turn, I stood their and proudly told them my business name  “Theta Devas: The New Wave in ThetaHealing®” and it was not pretty.  I was totally smashed!!  People we saying “What is ThetaHealing®”,  “I have never heard of it”, “Don’t put it in your business name”,  “Your business name sucks”.   I tell you it was a hard pill to swallow, but they were in essence right.  So many people have just never heard of it before.  Did I change my name, No.  Did I listen what they said, Absolutely, that is why I pay to be there.  And now do you think that the 200 people in that room know what ThetaHealing® is?

The story continues, because as I sat down  feeling extremely deflated, one of the women at my table said “You have to change your name, I don’t even know how to spell it.  Anyway what the hell is ThetaHealing®.  It makes no sense!”  As I was sitting there thinking of a way to reply that avoided the use of my physical body,  I had a moment of clarity (Hmm, I wonder where that came from?) and I calmly said “What do you do?” and she replied that she was an Internet Marketer.  With a fake perplexed look on my face I asked her if she Marketed the Internet to people.  Indignantly she said no, and said that everyone knows what Internet Marketing is.  I said to her that I disagreed because some people don’t even know what the internet is or have a computer, she just laughed as though I was stupid.  She continued on about how the name ThetaHealing® doesn’t tell people what it does.  Hmm,  another interesting point, but I calmly asked her what a “Plumber” does because nowhere in that word does it say what they do, or what about a Lawyer, or a Doctor.  She just looked at me as though I had the lowest IQ in the world,  and said that I was being too emotional and  she would not answer the question.

A very wise teacher once told me that “What you argue for  you get to keep.” Well due to that advice it is now rare for me to argue, so the above example is quite rare indeed.  I am happy to argue for and to keep the name ThetaHealing® because it is what I do.  If people don’t know what it is… then tell them.

We are at an interesting stage of the development of ThetaHealing® and it is starting to be more widely known.  Sometimes this is not always in a positive way but you know what we can all live without living down to people’s expectations… right?  We can all be shining Ambassadors for ThetaHealing® and all that we do.

Earlier this year at a residential for the same Business School , a woman asked me what I did and I simply replied “I am a ThetaHealing® Master” and you know what she said?  She said “Oh, I have done that course and I loved it!”  We are now great friends.  Most of the time we don’t really know the people we are meeting and their history so don’t judge them before you talk to them, don’t try to “soften” the blow,  don’t feel uneasy about what you do, there is no need to sugar coat what you do, just say proudly that you are a ThetaHealer®.

If you believe in what you do… others will as well!!

ThetaHealing helped me to clear up a messy discharge!

Today I celebrate my 5th Anniversary of being discharged from the Australian Army at the rank of Major. It was a huge fall from grace and my discharge from the Army was very painful and humiliating. I never expected to survive the rest of the year, much less be where I am today.  I had been discarded from the Army like human rubbish and the future that they had predicted for me was bleak. No one’s life ever deserves to be treated with such disregard or limitation.

I was determined to prove them wrong and set out to undo all that the Army had done to me. I studied many different modalities and this is where ThetaHealing™ stood out. It allowed me to accelerate the change that would normally be a painful process and avoid going back into the “Shit-Pit”. I kept clearing and moving forward free from the drama.

I have totally turned my life around by using the simple techniques that I was taught in ThetaHealing™. They had such a profound affect on me that I became a ThetaHealingteacher in 2007 and in 2008, 3 years after my discharge, I became Australia’s first ThetaHealing™ Master, and in 2009 I received the Certificate of Science in ThetaHealing™. I will continue my ThetaHealing™ journey and achieve all that is offered. Thank you to Vianna Stibal for all she has done and continues to do.

This wonderful healing modality has worked very well for me and for that I am grateful. I enjoy being alive and am now empowering others to do the same.

Thanks you so much for reading,

Assault with a “friendly” weapon

In my training as a Registered Nurse,  I learned all about  the legalities of what my role as a Nurse would involve.  And one of the very valuable topics that we studied was assault and battery.  When a Nurse says that they are going to do a procedure to a patient that the patient doesn’t want, it is assault. When the Nurse does the procedure against the wishes/ consent of the patient, then that is assault and battery.  We also learnt in great detail the many forms of consent and were always 100% clear on what consent was needed in order to treat our patients.

How is this relevant to ThetaHealing™ or Complimentary Therapists I hear you ask.  Well it is of great importance.  Over the past few months (since my last blog post ),  I have been teaching ThetaHealing™ almost non stop, and I have met a huge number of people who have gone to Healers (of many different  modalities) for a particular treatment say a massage, and ended up being treated with another type of treatment altogether.  The Therapist usually says that it is the more suitable treatment for the needs of the client, but it is not what the client has consented or agreed to.

I guess that it is just my Nursing background, but the thought of this happening is amazing  to me.  Of course I totally get that you would suggest a treatment but to go ahead and actually do against the clients wishes is both disrespectful to your client, and it is technically assault and battery.

Here are a few examples:  one woman (a ThetaHealing™  Practitioner) I met just wanted a relaxing one  hour massage but ended up being lectured to by the practitioner  for over 45 minutes of the session about the benefits of a new healing modality that “totally replaced  ThetaHealing™”, and even when she refused the treatment the practitioner just “did” the healing anyway  and did a 15 minute massage. Another woman went to a Practitioner for Reiki and ended up having a Bowen treatment.  Regardless of the modality, I think that this is unacceptable.

So what if we were to put this situation into another context (You know I love metaphors). What if a patient rings the call bell and asks a nurse for a painkiller to relieve pain from recent stomach surgery, and the Nurse knows of a different way to relieve pain and so they suggests the new treatment but the patient refuses. The Nurse really wants to try it anyway so they walk up to the patient and slaps them across the face thus distracting the  patients attention from their pain. The procedure is successful and the patient no longer has stomach pain, but the nurse has committed assault and battery.  Well as extreme as you may think that this example is, it is exactly what the above mentioned Therapists are doing, they just don’t see it that way.

As a Nurse, even though I knew that a treatment would save a persons life, if the patient refused it, I couldn’t give it.  As another example, I was nursing an elderly woman who needed a blood transfusion to save her life, no big deal you think? Unfortunately it was,  because she was a Jehovah’s Witness. People know that you can not give a Jehovah’s Witness a blood transfusion even when it will save their life (There are a few exceptions to this rule but they do involve legal teams and have huge moral and ethical consequences). So what do you do? Do you just stand there and watch someone die? Yes you do, it is called free will and it is called respecting the rights of the patient.

So why is it different in the Complimentary and Alternative Therapy world? Well, is it really different or is it just that  Therapists “think” that they are different.? In ThetaHealing™  from the very first course, we are taught to respect  people’s free will.   If our Medical Professionals ever did what the practitioner’s are doing, there would be a public outcry and it would be in every News Service around the world. The Medical Professional would be disciplined, they may even lose their professional registration and in some cases they will end up with a criminal record.

The way I apply my Nursing ethics to ThetaHealing™ makes it  such a great fit for me.  ThetaHealing™ for me has the same respect for clients as I did for my patients when I was a Nurse.  I uphold the same degree of professionalism and confidentiality in my practice as a ThetaHealer®. And I only ever do what the client agrees to. No downloads are ever done against the clients wishes and I obtain their verbal consent to each procedure that is done. For me Spirituality is all about ‘Flow’ and never about ‘Force’, so why are people forcing their will and healings upon non consenting clients.

So now I ask you, what would happen if something went wrong whilst the Practitioner was doing the healing that  the client didn’t want or agree to?  Where would that leave the Practitioner legally? Have you technically assaulted your client and would they be able to sue you or press charges?  As a practitioner do you have indemnity insurance? I know that these are things we don’t want to think/talk about but they are a reality that we need to be aware of.

So to finish off  I leave you with this one thought. What makes us different to the  Medical  Professionals? Nothing!

ThetaHealing Fraud – Fact or Fiction, You Decide

As ThetaHealing™ starts to grow in popularity, a quick search on the internet forThetaHealing™ nowadays becomes a journey through an array of websites. But even the positive sites are now being inundated with negativity. On You Tube, videos posted by ThetaHealers® are being defaced by a dedicated little band of “Truth Seekers” whose main aim is to make everyone aware of how much they hate Vianna Stibal and ThetaHealing™ in general. Are their comments objective observations or are they subjective slurs? So the big question is who/ what do we believe?

I think by now people who read my blog know where I stand on the issue, I love ThetaHealing™. The “Truth Seekers” as they call themselves, are people who once had some type of involvement in ThetaHealing™ in one way or another. One is Vianna’s (ex?) daughter in law, whose testimonial appears on the back of the ThetaHealing™ Book. Others are Teachers who have moved away from ThetaHealing™ because of many varied reasons but mostly because they did not teach Vianna’s information as she intended, others are people who think that they know better than all ThetaHealers® and then we just have the followers. Most of these people were more than happy to play inside the so-called lie and fraud whilst it suited them, but now that they are no longer in ThetaHealing™, they want to destroy it and everyone involved in it. One of the Teachers that taught me now has their own modality and has even confessed that he did not even teach Vianna’s material. So where is my refund for the thousands of dollars that I paid to learn a modality that I was never taught. One of the claims by the “Truth Seekers” is that is costs $20,000 to become a ThetaHealing™ Master. Well, a lot of that money goes to ThetaHealing™ teachers like the one I mentioned before that had no trouble in taking the money and I can tell you they were raking in the money and not even teaching it properly. So not all of the money goes to Vianna!

People say that is ok for them to do what they are doing because of freedom of speech etc, but it is where they post their comments that is the concerning point. They deface other peoples Facebook pages, You Tube pages and anywhere else they can put a negative comment. It is a great strategy even if it is a little parasitic. They sit there and entertain each other with their little quips. Where are their videos on You Tube?? And as for their comments, one of the posters even proudly makes the comment “you will never know who I am”. Then if you are happy to hide behind your anonymity, why should anyone take your comments seriously?

Just for fun, let’s attempt to put this into some sort of perspective. Just Imagine that there is a big company say Apple, and Steve Jobs has a son. Just say this son leaves his wife and now his wife is bagging out Steve Jobs and Apple, and saying that Apple products don’t work. I wonder how far that would go. What about a person in the Apple Corporation who wanted Steve Jobs to approve their own product but they were the only ones who could sell it, I wonder if Apple would do that? Or what about if the Technician modified some of the components in the iPod on the assembly line to make it “better” and said “Don’t tell Steve Jobs I am doing this”, I wonder how Apple would handle it?

What about another brand such as Kentucky Fried Chicken. The Colonels son leaves his wife and she goes out and tells everyone that it is not even chicken, and that there aren’t even really 11 herbs and spices, that is all just a great big fraud. What about the store owner who wants to add another secret ingredient but it can only be sold in their shop by them. And then finally you have the disgruntled shop owner who takes the few herbs and spices that they can identify, takes some from other fast food outlets, smashes them all together, and they go and start-up their own new Chicken shop called “The Chicken that really tastes like Chicken, that makes KFC redundant!!!”

Most of the claims that they make would never be tolerated in the corporate world. One of my favourite claims that they post everywhere is , you shouldn’t have to pay for a healing. Well people pay money when they go to church (it is called a collection plate), people pay people to do Reiki, Angel Readings, Pranic Healings, NLP, and Reference Point Therapy, so why not ThetaHealing™. Why do we have to be poor? Oh, that’s right they also claim that it doesn’t work. According to whom?? I have plenty of clients and students that this has worked for, as do many other ThetaHealers.

The “Truth Seekers” say that ThetaHealers® are stupid because they worship Vianna Stibal like some sort of Guru, but I had been doing ThetaHealing™ for 2 years before I even met Vianna Stibal. Before then I had teachers (that are no longer teaching ThetaHealing™) running around trying to be my guru. It is funny because some of the people who are criticising Vianna have done and continue to do what they accuse her of. Where are the fraud pages set up for them??

Even if Vianna Stibal was all that they say she is, why do they have to take it out on all ThetaHealers? There are many people who don’t like Dr Eric Pearl but they don’t go around rubbishing The Reconnection, or people who don’t like Doreen Virtue don’t bag out Angel Therapy Practitioners. Even if there was no Vianna Stibal, there would still be ThetaHealing™. Pranic Healing and Reiki have survived beyond their Masters death.

One thing that I am sure of is that even by me writing this post I will be targeted and my page, if I allow comments, will be hit with a myriad of comments. My You Tube Videos that I post so people can see how much fun we have, have been attacked so now I have moderate the comments. They are always by the same people, and mostly people who hide behind their made up names. If they really had any truth to tell us they would be proud to put their names to it, just as I am proud to put my name to my blog.

So in answer to my initial question, who do you believe? Well it is entirely up to you. As with anything in life there will be people who love it, people who hate it and those who sit in the middle, ThetaHealing™ is no different. I am a fairly well educated person and grown up enough to make decisions for myself. The “Truth Seekers” would probably consider me an idiot, but you know what, when nothing else worked on my depression and acne rosacea, ThetaHealing™ was the only thing that worked. So why would I hate something that gave me back everything that I lost and much, much more. As for the truth, well being an Indigo Child I know all about it. I am not a “Truth Seeker”, I am a Truth Knower!!

I love Apple, I love KFC and I love ThetaHealing™.

Experience or Experienced: Is there a difference and does it really matter??

I wonder if any of you have ever had the same experience as me?  For a great part of my life I have had people wanting to “put me in my place”. It didn’t matter whether it was in my Nursing Career, my Military Career or even today in my ThetaHealing™ Career, there are always those that want to tell you how much more “experienced” they are.

Now I am sure that I have mentioned in previous posts that I started out my life as an Indigo Child.  So as a walking, talking lie detector, many times I knew that people were not speaking from truth or integrity. The thing is that although people think that they are experienced, they really are not. My Indigo insight has allowed me to see through the illusion. It has often stepped in and shown me the truth which allowed me to continue on with my journey.

To explain this concept and illusion of experience, imagine that,  Nurse A has been on a ward for the last 20 years.  Now when a new graduate Nurse (Nurse B) goes to that ward they are promptly told that Nurse A has 20 years experience and to learn from them. So then Nurse B plays the game and what happens is that they often quickly out grow the more “experienced” Nurse.  But how can that happen, if Nurse A has 20 years experience? Well, it is easy when you look behind the illusion that is set up before us. Nurse A may have only really had one year of experience but has repeated it 19 times, which will equal the illusion of “20 years of experience”. Nurse A is totally convinced that they have had the 20 years of experience, because they have been on the same ward doing the same thing shift after shift. In truth this is not experience, this is stagnation.

I once had an ICU Nurse with over 10 years experience stand in front of me and tell me that as an Army Nurse with all the moving around I had done, I would never be as experienced as she was at ICU nursing. She had never been in the Army and had no point of reference in which to base her claim, but I let her continue with her comments interested to see where it would go. Later that shift one of the ventilators had a fault which would require it to be sent off to be serviced, that would have severely affect the capacity of the ICU. I walked up to the machine, had a quick look, tracked back the fault and with a few adjustments and testing had the machine working in no time at all. She was amazed and wanted to know how I knew what the fault was on the machine. I told her as an Army Nurse I really needed to have a good knowledge of the machinery as well as caring for patients, because on deployments there are no service people and the machines need to work. Sure she had been in the ICU for 10 years but when did her growth stop. She had called me a “Jack of all trades, Master of none”, but as a “junior” ICU Nurse of 2 years, I could already do most that she could do, and a whole lot more that she couldn’t. In nursing there is a culture of the “older Nurses eating their young” which is damaging to the whole industry. This is not isolated to Nursing and happens in many industries, even our Complimentary Healing Industry.

People set themselves up as the “senior” person and judge people as being  junior to them with no appreciation of what experience of what they may have done before. One of the things that has made me different to most other people who I have known in my life, is that I prefer to observe rather than judge. I take into account all that a person has done. Other people only see the relevance of things as they are relevant to themselves.

When I was discharged from the Army I was involved in a business that was so dynamic, but then they had some General Managers join the company. These people had a huge amount of “experience” in other business sectors and they proceeded to tell me that I had no experience in management and that they would need to teach me how to manage a team of 15 – 20 people. They also suggested that I go and study an MBA. Now they knew that I had been a Major in the Army and that I had been an Officer Commanding of a Medical Company. I can tell you that it is common to have about 50 – 100 people of various ranks in a Medical Company from Doctor, Nurses and Medics. So they did not have anywhere the level of experience that I had, but I had to sit there as a “junior” manager and listen to their “experience”. Sadly that business is no longer in existence.

When I started my journey on the Spiritual path I thought that these things would not happen anymore. I could not be more wrong. (Just to let you know, of course I have noticed the pattern in my life and have since changed the bottom beliefs and the way it was serving me, and this scenario no longer happens to the same degree.) People very quickly started to make me aware of the hierarchy. When I became the first Australian to be awarded a ThetaHealing™ Master, many of the “senior” teachers ignored me and what was even worse was when one of them told me that it was no big deal and I didn’t have enough experience. That was a turning point in my life. At that stage I may not have been teaching ThetaHealing™ for long but I have many years of experience of Instructing and Training people.( Just for the record, I have now taught over 40 ThetaHealing™ Courses at all levels in the last 2 years, which I guess makes me pretty experienced).  As for healing, I have always been a healer, I haven’t always called it ThetaHealing™.

You may be wondering if this all means that I don’t respect people who have more experience than I do, and the answer to that is simple, as long as they do have the experience.

We live in a world where babies are being born with the ability to do Reiki and other healing modalities. People are learning, or is it really just remembering, things more quickly. People can go to THInK (ThetaHealing™ Institute of Knowledge) and do a whole semester of courses and become a ThetaHealing™ Master. We need to get away from this culture of eating our young (just to clarify, young does not have to be age based) and start to nurture each other.

I run Theta Devas (My Business) and teach ThetaHealing™ in a space that is full of love, respect and nurturing. My practitioner sessions are done in the same space. None of my students are a threat to me, I get excited each time one of them becomes a teacher, and I will never treat them the way I was treated by the other ThetaHealing™ Teachers. I have learnt a lot from those “senior” more “experienced” Nurses, Managers and Teachers. Instead of complaining about change or fearing it, let’s truly be the change that you want to see in the world.

So next time you are searching for something in your life be it a  Teacher or Practitioner and you are told that someone has 10 years experience, find out more, and let’s stop ignoring the “new comers”  because people tell you they lack experience. They probably have the most current and up to date practices and have the most to teach you, possibly about yourself.

Thanks for reading,

Love, Light and Learning.

Practitioner, Friend or Partner: Who will you be??

One of the things that I have noticed since starting my journey into the healing arts is that everyone wants to heal everyone and everything. This is not always a bad thing, but it is definitely not always a good thing either. There are sometimes that it is just not appropriate to be healing everything and one of these times is when your partner needs you to be their partner or friend.

When I was studying Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) back in 2005/06, I first encountered the “let’s heal everything” phenomenon. I would be out a dinner with my NLP friends, just sitting around and then it would happen, just like magic. Someone would be talking and then around the table would be the chorus of “Limiting belief…” etc. The analysis would begin and the processes would be flung around whether the person wanted it or not. This happened time and time again. People love to solve and heal other people’s problems.

When the movie “The Secret” came out things became really interesting. This movie is all about the Law of Attraction. Now whenever anyone in our circle of friends said anything negative not only did they get the NLP processes, but now they were hit with the Law of Attraction arsenal as well.

I started to reduce the amount of time that I spent with these friends because I never felt that I could truly be myself. I was always afraid of what would come out of my mouth and what the end result would be. Being depressed at the time, I was constantly swimming in negativity, so I would be their prime target. There was a slight problem with my plan of escaping these people. My partner was also doing all of the same courses as me and was in the same circle of friends. So although I was reducing the amount of time I spent with my friends, my partner and I would run the exact same stuff at home. Great!!

This was when I was still working through depression and as much as I love my partner, I did not enjoy the constant analysis of my behaviours and words. I was not able to say anything negative otherwise I would get a quick reminder about the Law of Attraction and how I was attracting what I didn’t want. I must be honest though, I did it too but I felt as though I was unable to talk to my partner anymore. We would constantly argue and I felt like I was slipping backwards into a darker depression again.

One day in a moment of sheer frustration and desperation, I called an urgent meeting. I needed to resolve this issue or our relationship was doomed. There was a lot of heated discussion, a few tears but in the end we came to an agreement. The outcome of this meeting was a defining moment in our relationship and has helped many other practitioners (especially practitioners that are in relationships with another practitioners) to save their relationships. The concept is simple: “Who do you need to be right now? A friend, a partner or a practitioner?”

Sometimes a person just needs to “drain the swamp”. This is when you just say everything that is on your mind. The good, the bad and the ugly. This can be quite a cathartic experience, but when my partner was in practitioner mode this was impossible to do. I didn’t need problem solving, or judgment in fact there was no treatment required, just the need for someone to be a compassionate sounding board. After we were able to clearly define our roles, things were resolved easily and we were back in the flow.

During my ThetaHealing™ journey, I have had a few teachers that have said publicly that they work on their partner and their partner works on them all the time, but in candid conversations they told me that they never allow their partner to work on them and that they never work on their partner because it complicates things. They are surprised when they see me and my partner pair up for belief work. Many people feel the need to warn us that we will break up if we work on each other too much. But isn’t that what we have these amazing tools for? What an amazing gift to be able to use on those that you love, with discernment of course.

Vianna Stibal totally respects her husbands’ free will by not imposing a healing or belief work on him. How many people do you know that try to force belief work on the people around them? Just because you see something to change in a person, it doesn’t mean that they need to change it. By clearly defining who it is that you need your partner to be or who your partner wants you to be, your life will become less complicated and your relationship will flow more freely.

Does this only work for romantic relationships? Absolutely not!! The same strategy works on friends, family and yourself as well. So next time you see someone who needs a healing or help, just ask yourself who do you need to be, a friend or practitioner?

Depression and ThetaHealing

I often receive emails from people asking me how I used ThetaHealing™ to sort out my Depression. Many people have not had as good a result as I have and this makes me sad. I never really thought that there was too much to it, but maybe I need to share some of my insights so that others can have a smoother journey. I appreciate that each case of depression is unique and in fact many episodes of depression could be overwhelm, so I will just stick to my own situation as it is the one that I know best. I would also like to stress that ThetaHealing™ is a complimentary therapy, therefore it works with modern medicine rather than against it. Always work closely with your medical specialists in regards to any treatment that you may be on.

These days I don’t really go into my depression story before my discharge from the Army, only to say that it was a really dark time in my life. The more I tried to stay where I was, the harder it became. There were the days, weeks, months curled up in the fetal position in a puddle of tears and snot. The uncontrollable fear and anxiety that consumed my life. The stupid flash backs to situations when I was on deployments, to rehash what I had seen, as though it wasn’t enough to go through it once, I was on a never-ending loop. The extreme weight loss, and then ultimately the extreme weight gain. The feelings of absolute uselessness,  hopelessness and helplessness. My world had been ripped apart.

I was fortunate in some small way though, when I was discharged from the Australian Army I was not on any medications. Earlier in the year (2005) my body had a horrible reaction and I refused to go anywhere near them after that. About a month before my discharge I actually attended my first ever ThetaHealing™ Practitioner’s course. What was the attraction? Well, somewhere in the website it mentioned being able to balance your brain chemistry and DNA activation. The balancing of the brain chemistry was the thing that I wanted most out of the course, and the course delivered. As I continued on my journey I began to discover some other concepts that I will share with you now.

Balancing of the Brain chemistry: is mentioned in the book “ThetaHealing™” by Vianna Stibal, page 227. I did this every day religiously for about a month. I started to notice that my moods balanced, I was actually starting to “feel” things again and I even started to laugh again. I actually started to forget to do this everyday and only did it whan I felt my mood slip.

Feeling Work: it was such a relief to learn this skill. I was able to start downloading feelings that I had either forgotten or never really had. These downloads gave me a new point of reference, which became a very solid foundation on which to rebuild myself. Still to this day I am still downloading new feelings. Specific to depression, I really wanted to know how to experience happiness, joy, excitement, hope, love, usefulness, empowered, worthwhile etc.

Belief Work: At the time I was also learning Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), so I was aware of the type of questioning that is found in digging, but I found that ThetaHealing™ has a very fast and elegant way of dealing with things when you get to the bottom. Unfortunately I did not learn this skill on my first ThetaHealing™ Practitioner’s course (for whatever reason), however when I did learn it I loved it.  Out of all of the tools in my ThetaHealing™ repertoire, this is the one that I have found to be the most powerful. As long as it is done correctly. There are many people who dislike digging and will tell you that it is dangerous or it doesn’t get to the bottom belief, but all I will say is that just like any tool, it’s effectiveness is dependent on the operator.

Creator’s Definition: Never, never, never accept the download of Creator’s definition of depression, or anything else that is negative. This one download put my progress back almost a year. I accepted this download by a person who assured me that they knew what they were doing and that to have Creator’s definition of depression would be better to have than my own, because then I wouldn’t think that I was depressed anymore. Many people will just sit there and shake their heads and say that it was really stupid to accept that download, well they have that knowledge now because of people like me sharing our experiences. But here is another thing, when you are just starting out, and someone who claims to be one of the best ThetaHealers™ in the world tells you something, who are you going to trust and believe. Anyway, I ended up with Creator’s definition of depression for at least 6 months or more.

Heavy Metals: Heavy Metals can affect the brain and cause depression. Vianna talks about this in her “ThetaHealing™” and ”Disease and Disorder” Books.

How does depression serve you, and what has it taught you?: This may be quite a confronting question, but it needs to be answered. Our mind is incredibly powerful and will create situations to serve us. In my case I truly believe that depression was a way for me to slow down. I had been deployed twice in one year, which resulted in me being away from home just short of a year. I had no sooner returned home than I was being “threatened” with another deployment. Most people will say “Well that is what you signed up for!”, well actually it wasn’t. My treatment on my deployments and through my depression (until I was discharged) was substandard and insulting. Anyway, back to how it served me. Without depression I would have continued putting up with whatever the Army threw at me, but instead it made me stop. I was incapable of even the most basic tasks, everything was totally beyond me. So depression made me take time out for me, and it taught me how to put myself first, and how to respect and honour myself.

So there you have some of my insights on the treatment of depression. Just a few things to note, not all ThetaHealing™ teachers and practitioners are the same, make sure you get the best one for you. The cheapest person is just that, the cheapest person, don’t allow price to be your only guide. Do a bit of research on them before you commit to a session/course. (I started with a course because I wanted to be able to work on myself.) I have had a lot of very interesting experiences along the way and I would rather have others learn from my experience than their own. My experiences have however helped me to become a very focused and determined ThetaHealing™ Master, keen to make other peoples path as smooth as it can be.

Important things to consider before manifesting your Soul Mate

With Valentine’s day fast approaching, many people are wanting to attract that special person to share their lives with. This can be a stressful process, with lots of soul-searching, wondering where you have gone wrong, and thinking that you are destined to be alone. Others have in fact have manifested exactly who they asked for, but have found that they are not exactly what they wanted. I have found ThetaHealing™ to be an easy way to for a person to manifest their most compatible soul mate, and have facilitated many successful manifestations with clients and students. But there are a few things that you need to consider before you start.

What is the best way to get it right? Well, start by knowing what qualities you want this person to have. The following tips may seem a bit harsh but as it is your life and if we do in fact create our reality, create one you like. Soul mates are an important part of our lives. So what is important to you?

Things that you may want to consider are:

Gender and sexuality: Simple but important. I know of and have heard so many stories about people manifesting their soul mate and they don’t quite get the words right. e.g. they have asked for a person who will take care of them, cook and clean for them and be in touch with their feminine side, so they attracted a female. Not so bad if that is what you are expecting, but if you’re a female that has never been attracted to women before, it may bring up a few issues. Another story was a female who wanted a man who adored her and would go shopping with her for hours and took care of his appearance. Well, guess what, she manifested a gay man who fit all of her criteria perfectly but would not satisfy all of her desires.

Species: Another thing that seems to be simple but when people formulate their list of criteria for their soul mate, they could be talking about a golden retriever or a cat. How many people do you know that are very connected to their pets. I know of a woman who for years was manifesting to meet her perfect soul mate and every year she attracted a new animal into her life. Now she includes ”human” in her list, and is doing much better.

Physical Features: Be clear on what you want your partner to look like. Why would you want to manifest a soul mate that you are unable to be physically attracted to. How many times do you hear, “Oh, he was so perfect except he was way too short”, or “She was so beautiful but her nose was huge.”  If you plan to be with this person for a long time, ensure they are someone you can stand to look at day after day.

A Husband or a Wife: This one makes me laugh. Many people will include this on their list but they don’t say whose husband or wife they want. I have had so many people contact me and say “my manifestation seems to be working but I am only attracting married men”, when I get them to check their list, they alway have a husband on it but with no discernment on whose husband. We then change it to the person being emotionally available to be their husband. Things shift quickly after that.

Children: Do you want to have children with your soul mate. A friend of mine said that she wanted to have 3 children with her soul mate and when he came along, he already has 3 children, so now they are hers. So be specific as to where the children are going to come from.

Perfect vs. Compatible: Perfect may be too like you and may not grow with you, where as compatible is just different enough to keep things interesting.

These may seem to be simple tips, but when they are overlooked they can lead to very interesting situations materializing in your life.

Another way to manifest your most compatible soul mate is to see if you have any blocks e.g. Is it easier to look for them, than it is to work on building a relationship with them? Will you know what to do with them when you get them?? Is your list accidentally on purpose too impractical to get what you want? Do you even love yourself, if you don’t, how can anyone else? Are you in love with yourself? Would you go out with yourself?? If the answer is “NO” then you need to work on why that is. Are you afraid of deep intimacy? Does love equal pain, hurt, rejection? Do you know how to share all that you have? And of course always ask how these blocks or this behaviour serves you. These blocks will have a huge effect on your ability to attract that special person that you desire. Clear them and you will give yourself a much better chance.

So once you have your list and have cleared your blocks, ThetaHealing™ is an awesome way to manifest the soul mate that you desire.

So when you are manifesting your most compatible soul mate, just remember that you just need to be clear on who it is you are attracting.

And of course, always be aware that you are manifesting a real person, they are already out there with their own life going on before you meet. There may be some work to do but  it will all be well worth it as you create the life you truly deserve.

The things that ThetaHealing™ doesn’t work on.

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

7.

Ok, so originally this post was going to be a blank page. You know like those books, “1000 Things that Men Know About Women”  and vice versa and the book of all the US athletes at the Moscow Olympics etc. But I thought that would be too cheeky.

Needless to say however in my mind there are very few things that ThetaHealing™ is unable to help you with. Having said that, it is not a one size fits all approach to healing. The one thing that will govern whether it does work for you or not is your BS (belief systems). And as we all know,  BS is a huge contributor to our level of success or failure in life.

There have been a few people in the last few years that have claimed that ThetaHealing™ didn’t work, that it is dangerous or that it has been completely replaced. This a great example of belief systems (BS). When you are out to prove something wrong you will be able to find the results to prove yourself right. And because you have said that it doesn’t work, it won’t. Fortunately for us though, we can live free of adopting their reality as ours.

In my ThetaHealing™ career (it is not a hobby or a pass time, it is my business) I have had a few clients and students who have too much invested in their current situation to even try to change their life. They come to the course or a healing session and want massive changes in their life, but are really there to prove why nothing ever works for them. For those people ThetaHealing™ will not work because they will not allow it to. To be fair though, they have usually tried many other healing modalities that also hadn’t worked. One of the main principles in ThetaHealing™ is to respect people’s Free Will/ Free Agency. We can only do as much as people will allow us to do.

I have had many people say to me that if Vianna was such a great healer, why can’t she just heal everyone instantly whether they want her to or not. I usually give them the same explanation I am going to give you. Vianna respects people’s Free will/ Free agency, sure she does amazing belief and digging work, in fact she is artistic in the way she works, and she can only change the beliefs that the person wants changed. Many people say that they can heal people without their permission, but Vianna doesn’t. Vianna is very aware of who is the healer as are most people in ThetaHealing™, and the answer is Creator.

People will only heal as much as they will allow themselves to. I had a friend who was trying different healing modalities to heal a serious back injury. They were having no success but when we dug into the belief system it turned out that they would not heal completely until their compensation claim was settled. As soon as the compensation claim was paid out, they healed. Our mind is very powerful and very clever.

I also did a healing on a man who had prostate problems, and the healing was very successful. The same man had problems with  a huge gall stone, yet when I wanted to work on the gall stone, he didn’t think that it would work, so it didn’t. He then went on to have his gallbladder removed. This is a great example of the ThetaHealing™ Practitioner only being able to work on what the client wants worked on. I know that Creator would have sorted out that gall stone very easily.

So there you have it. ThetaHealing™ can work on as many things as you believe it will. What limitations do you have??

Spiritual Messages in Modern Media

So many people say to me that they are waiting for a sign or a message from the Creator, The Universe etc but they never seem to get them. This is an interesting dilemma. Is it that there isn’t a message being sent or is it that the person is not open to receiving it? Or do they just try to over think it or over analyse it.

People really start to doubt the existence of God because they think that it is a very one-sided conversation. But what if God, the Creator, Universe etc spoke through the things around us. Just to clarify, I am not talking about a talking toaster or if suddenly a person on TV starts talking directly to you. It can be much more subtle than that.

Every second we are bombarded with tens of millions of pieces of information but can only handle a minute fraction of all that. We have what is called a Reticular Activating System (RAS), and this is what prevents us from getting overwhelmed and overloaded. Our belief system (BS) helps to program the RAS, so if we are not noticing things maybe we need to tweak our beliefs so that we can. Remember in my last post I talked about how we create in our lives what we say about ourself, well this is a great example. What about if I were to say that God never listens or speaks to me? What would happen there, even if there was a huge booming “God” voice, my RAS would not pick it up. So on the other hand if my belief is that God always listens to me and speaks to me, it will not require a huge “God” voice to get my attention, the message can be subtle and I will receive it.

One of my strengths in life is to notice the little things (The distinction is in the noticing, not concerning, concentrating, obsessing etc, this allows me to notice and then move on.) This strength lies in a belief, and therefore it will influence my RAS. I will be out and about experiencing my day and anytime I have a question or want to know something, I just need to allow the answer to come in the way that it does.

A recent example is when I went to see the movie, Avatar. This is a really awesome movie, and it is filled with many spiriutual messages. One message that was particularly poignant was when the main character Jake was connecting to the tree of souls (Mother Goddess Ehwa) to ask for help, Neytiri said to him that the Goddess doesn’t work that way and that she only maintains the balance of life. Jake says that it couldn’t hurt to ask for help. This scene was a message to me to live without placing restrictions on the ability of The Creator and those around me. How many times have you restricted the potential of those around you or even yourself? I know I used to.

When I was on my first Advanced ThetaHealing™ Course my Teacher, who is an amazing woman, would often talk about the conversations that she was having with God/ The Creator and I sat in awe just wishing that one day I could have the same strong connection as she had. Well, I was teaching the very same course only last year when one of my students said to me that they wished that they had as strong a connection as I had.  This comment made me sit up and appreciate how far I had come (yet another important message). How many people would like to be as connected as Vianna is, yet they are unaware of how connected they really are. Maybe Vianna is more open to receiving the messages than others, and if that is the case then it is only a matter of changing your beliefs to be more connected.

With my own connection, I also get messages through music. I will be thinking of an idea and a song will come on with a line of lyrics that provide me with an accurate insight. Now I know people could say that I am just making the song fit into the situation, and you know what they are right… according to them (BS and RAS). According to me, my reality is the one I need to concern myself with. I even had a person once tell me that I wasn’t getting to the 7th plane because I get messages in the form of lyrics. She said that I was working on the 6th Plane where music and tones are used. Lucky for me I am not easily influenced and her comments had no effect, because I know 100% where my messages come from. And you know what, she was only talking through her RAS!

So no matter what form or what media your messages come to you in, as long as you are looking for and open to receiving it, you will. As a novice ThetaHealing™ Practitoner, I never thought that I would be as connected as I am today. I am truly living the ThetaHealing™ Lifestyle, I am constantly connected to the 7th Plane energy and life is amazing. Everyday I notice the little things and give thanks to the messages that I am receiving, however they chose to come. And I find that the messages are a lot clearer when I take my head out of my RAS.

You are what you say you are.

Whether you think you can or think you can’t – you are right – Henry Ford

These are very wise words and going in to the new year, they may just be the words that could make the hugest difference in your life. Already people have expectations of what 2010 has in store for them. What are you saying about the year ahead? Will it be the best year ever, will it be more of the same, will it be a year of hardship or a year of love and abundance. In 2010 will you survive or thrive?

In ThetaHealing™, Vianna Stibal teaches us about the power of our words and thoughts. When we are in a Theta State we are able to manifest things into our life at an ever quickening rate. Of course it is only us that sees things as good or bad, so maybe we need to be more cautious and focussed on what we want.

Have you ever noticed that when people say that they are bad at something, they generally are. Take for instance the person that you meet that says “You’ll have to excuse me, I am really bad at remembering names, so I will probably forget yours.” Well, I was a little like that a few years ago. When I was in the midst of depression, I used to say I had the memory of a goldfish… oh, look a rock… oh, look a rock… and so it goes on. Pretty funny, maybe now but certainly not at the time. I had lost a lot of my cognitive ability and I was going through one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. During my discharge from the Military, I had to fill out forms, and complete heaps of complicated processes that if I did them wrong, my future entitlements would be wiped, and subsequently were. I was told that I had no future and that I would always have depression. I was being discarded with little to no help or hope. Not a great outlook for a woman in her mid 30′s.

I remember hearing the quote by Henry Ford one day and its words started a great shift within me. Could it be that simple? I stopped saying that I was depressed, I started to say that I was great at remembering names, and slowly started to reassure myself that my memory was reliable. I had been saying that it felt like my brain had gone away on a holiday. I remember the day my brain came back, it was such a joyous occasion. I actually felt smart again. I completely changed what I said about myself.

During the year after I was discharged from the Army, I studied Neuro Linguistic Programming, I studied with Doreen Virtue and I was well and truly on my path with ThetaHealing™ by becoming a Practitioner. Last year I became the first ThetaHealing™ Master in Australia and this year was awarded a ThetaHealing™ Certificate of Science. All of the courses I funded myself with no assistance from the Military. I knew that my recovery from depression laid within re educating myself, and it has. Each course I complete provides me with the means to recreate my life the way I want to live it. Not too bad for a woman with no future. One of my biggest triumphs is that I now teach people how to use these very tools that have saved my life.

Another insight on being what you say you are, is the idea that people have of being a “survivor/survivour”. Anyone who knows me would know that I love the show called Survivor, but that is as far as things go. How many people do you hear that are Cancer survivors, Abuse survivors etc? For as long as they say that they are a survivor, that is all they will ever be. I am not a Depression survivor. I refused to cap my true potential at that level, I want to thrive and that is exactly what I am doing. What words do you use to describe yourself that are capping your true potential?

These days I have a great memory, I am great at math, I am free of depression, I am an awesome ThetaHealing™ Teacher and practitioner and I am abundant in all areas of my life. Even in my “trying” moments I am exactly what I say I am, so if I am not enjoying my experience I change what  I am  saying about myself.  Thanks for reading,

The Three V’s

In our day-to-day lives we do things according to our Values, Vision and Vibration without even being aware of it. If at any time, any or all three are out of alignment, usually the outcome is less than optimal. It has taken me a long time to work out the delicate model that when I am in alignment with, always assures me a very happy day indeed.

I really love teaching ThetaHealing™ and know that this is one time in my life that I truly live my bliss. When I look at why this is the case, I am drawn to the 3 V’s. ThetaHealing™ has the same values as me, the Vision is the same, and the Vibration is amazing. So that all adds up to me having a wonderful existence. When any of the V’s are missing or what I am doing is not in alignment with my 3 V’s, then the flow slows or totally stops, the day becomes clunky and I am having to work hard to get anywhere.

This week whilst teaching a ThetaHealing™ Boot Camp (Basic and Advanced ThetaHealing™ Practitioner’s Course, and Manifesting and Abundance Course, all taught back to back) it became very obvious to me that the 3 V’s can be applied to everyone and everything. My students and I spoke at length about the times in our lives when we were out of alignment with ourselves and the resulting misery or drama.

All too often we allow other things to infiltrate our lives and when they are out of alignment with our Values, Vision and Vibration, there is a huge disparity and we are left feeling low, depressed or overwhelmed. By keeping in alignment with our 3 V’s, we can live the life we truly deserve. But we need to know what they are first. What are your Values, Vision and Vibration?? Maybe you need to have a closer look at yourself and your life.

In her teachings for ThetaHealing™, Vianna Stibal talks about the importance of the 3 R’s. Resentments, Regrets, and Rejections. To be able to clear these is an amazing way to heal yourself. I have cleared an enormous amount of “stuff” using these simple yet effective procedures, and firmly believe that they are the very reason that I am able to be as clear as I am. And now to be able to implement the three V’s adds a whole new dimension to my life. I am better equipped to honor myself and my souls journey, and live without the distractions that I allowed to rule my life previously.

So next time something doesn’t quite feel right, check in with the 3 V’s. When you are in full alignment with them, you will be in your flow.

To download or to dig that is the question…

All too often people want me to give them a pile of downloads to teach them what it feels like to experience something that they never have before.  But when you try to dig on them to find out why they have some of the issues that they do, they just want downloads so they can have a quick fix.  Quick fixes are pretty much the standard in today’s society, especially whan it comes to the Y generation.  But do quick fixes last?  It will depend on the situation, but in ThetaHealing™ as Vianna says, you need to get to the bottom of things to really get rid of them.

Think of it this way.  If you have cut yourself deeply you would go to a doctor to have sutures/ stitches to close the wound (I know unless you do an instant healing, just stay with me on this…) , but what if instead of stopping the bleeding they only put a band-aid/ sticking plaster over the top.  What would that do?  Well that is what downloads are like when you don’t dig to the bottom belief.  You are essentially putting a band-aid on a Haemorrhage!!

On the DNA 3 Course you learn how to do some amazing things, and since completing that course everyone wants the downloads from the DNA 3 course, so they can also do the really cool stuff.  But the truth is that there weren’t all that many.  There was mostly belief work.  You can easily download that you know how to teleport etc, but how convinced will your subconscious mind be if it has a belief that if you do teleport you will end up somewhere dangerous or have no control over where you go.  So in essence the “haemorrhage” has not been addressed.  So you need to remove the limiting belief and then the download will work.

A great download can change a person’s life exponentially, and at the same time never under-estimate the power of  digging on the issue. When most people start ThetaHealing™ they find digging a little challenging (but is that in itself just a belief??), but the more they practice the better they will get at it.  Vianna Stibal has awesome examples in the Advanced ThetaHealing™ book, actually there are around 35 pages of examples.  I have identified her most often asked questions and know that when I stick to the tried and tested questions, everything flows. But when I try to intellectualize or analyse the process, it becomes clunky and can even stop.

One question that I stopped asking some time ago is “How does that make you feel?”  I found that it was an invitation for the subconscious mind to keep me “entertained” with a long convoluted story in a vain attempt that if it went on for long enough (much like this sentence), I would forget and it would be off the hook.  Also by not asking that question, you can considerably reduce the time it takes to get to the bottom belief.  One of my students on a Basic ThetaHealing™ Practitioner’s Course, got to a bottom belief on a really deep issue in 7 minutes.  Not too bad for a beginner.  So why do people have to complicate such an easy process.

I love to get to the bottom belief and then once it is removed and resolved, build the person back up again with powerful downloads.  This to me is one of the most satisfying parts of a healing session, and if you can dig quickly and efficiently, this can happen at least 3 times in a 1 hour session. This is when the digging and downloads work together in complete harmony.

I really “Dig” ThetaHealing™ and with some practice, perseverance, and preparation, you can too!

The real power of the mind

It doesn’t really matter what method you use to access the Subconscious mind, whether you use ThetaHealing™, NLP etc, the most important thing to know is how it works. Vianna Stibal teaches that the Subconscious mind believes that every belief within it is there to serve, protect or enhance your life  in a positive way. By its way of thinking there is nothing negative in it at all. It is not until the belief is communicated at the Conscious level that we realise how negative some of our beliefs really are.

Many people will ask why can’t we just remove and resolve all negative beliefs within our Subconscious mind with one command. Well, if you believe that you can then go for it. The thing to remember is that the Subconscious mind thinks that it is helping you and has no real judgement of positive or negative. So maybe if you were to make that command then there would be no result. The negative beliefs will not be apparent until they are filtered by your Conscious mind.

People will use affirmations at the conscious level to try to initiate change in their life. Affirmations target the Conscious mind in order to ultimately access the Subconscious mind. Repetition is the key to the affirmation being successful, with the affirmation needing to be repeated up to thousands of times to get into the Subconscious mind. Below is a diagram that represents the mind (courtesy of Paul Blackburn), that shows how much of our thinking is influenced by each part of our mind. The Conscious mind is approximately 10% and the Subconscious mind is a whopping 50- 60%. That explains that despite all the positive thinking, we still do behaviours and have beliefs that are not in our higest and best. E.g. Consciously we say ” I will not eat chocolate, I will not eat chocolate…”, Subconsciously we are saying “Chocolate makes me feel better, I want some now”, and before we can catch up with what is going on, we have a piece of Chocolate in our mouth. What the…Why?? Well it is obvious, 50 -60% will beat 10% any day of the week.

But what if there was a way to get any affirmation into the Subconscious mind the first time it is said, thus giving the 10% more leverage. Well there is a way and what we are talking about is ThetaHealing™. We can download beliefs and feelings into the Subconscious mind as well as remove limiting or negative beliefs in an instant. ThetaHealing™ is such a versatile technique that can make real and lasting change in a person’s life.

In ThetaHealing™ we use a basic Kinesiology Technique called “Muscle Testing” to check whether a person has a belief within their Subconscious mind. There was a ThetaHealing™ teacher that would muscle test whether a certain belief was in fact the “bottom” belief. Unfortunately there is a real flaw in this model, and that is if you give the Subconscious mind any opportunity to escape … it will! So the answer would always be “Yes, this is the bottom belief”. They would then change the “bottom” belief but the true bottom belief would be left in place, so realistically the person did not receive a full healing.

Our mind is more powerful than most people give it credit for. How many times have you become sick just before an appointment or course that was going to change your life? That was your Subconscious mind keeping you “safe”. What about people who get laryngitis just before a big presentation. Again, the person is being kept “safe”.

Whatever we say we are, we are! Have you noticed that people who say they can’t remember people’s names, can’t. People who say that they are bad with money, are. What are you feeding your Subconscious mind? Isn’t  it time that we changed our mental nutrition.

Healing Modalities: Who’s really the Healer???

When a healing is done, who is it that is really doing the healing? In ThetaHealing™ we are taught that we witness the healing, and God/ Creator (or Source, Universal Power, All That Is, Oneness etc) performs the healing.

During my time in the Spiritual Business world, I have noticed that in all healing modalities there have been people who break away from a modality, call it something different and then claim it is better or that is replaces the original modality. This is really peculiar behaviour, why does there have to be any comparison, competition or  replacement. If God is the one doing the healing, does it really matter what it is called. Is it the modality that heals the person or are we just looking for something to call it, or even taking the credit?

Everyday we are bombarded with claims from healers in all modalities that they are better than then everyone else, and they even claim that particular modalities don’t work. That is really subjective information. It may not have worked for them and maybe someone else that they know, but did it not work for everyone, no! These claims create fear in people and create thoughts of disbelief and even inadequacy, especially if you are doing a modality that is being called dangerous or redundant. But why are these claims even generated? Is it due to an over active Ego, or a need to save people from themselves.

If all healing modalities use the same universal energy then is there any real need to compare and compete? People are attracted to what they are attracted to, and disrespecting other modalities to make you look better, in fact makes you look worse. If you come from a place of abundance, then there is plenty for everyone, no matter what modality you do. If you come from a place of lack, or scarcity there will never ever be enough, not even for you! The choice is yours.

I appreciate that role of the witness is one of great importance, because without the witness the healing does not happen. And at the same time the witness is not doing the healing, so we are all important aspects of the healing process. I guess that I am really aware of my role and enjoy being an integral part of changing a person’s life. My Ego and I work together really well, they help me to get up in front of people and teach ThetaHealing™, and then they are quiet when the healing is happening. This is a wonderful relationship.

On the point of Ego, I will say in my advertising that I am the first ThetaHealing™ Master in Australia, so is that an over active ego or a statement of fact? I know how I intend it to be taken, how people read it is ultimately up to them. I do not make the claim that I am better than anyone else, I am displaying a credential I am proud if. Remember, that being discharged out of the Army at the height of my career was devastating to me, so now I have something to be very proud of.  There is a huge difference between pride/ self-confidence and ego!

So now matter what modality/ modalities you choose to use in your journey, know that they are  perfect for you. You will not have to prove anything to anyone, unless you still need to prove it to yourself. By allow others to enjoy their journey, you will be able to truly enjoy your own journey.

ThetaHealing™ or Theta Healing – What is the difference??

What’s in a name? Whether people spell/type the word ThetaHealing™ or Theta Healing it  really doesn’t matter except of course that the founder Vianna Stibal has called it ThetaHealing™ and so I guess she is the one who knows better than the rest of us. Just one look at her website will clear up any confusion that anyone has.

Does it make a difference if people don’t spell it correctly? I guess that it would depend on what you want. Do you want someone who is in alignment with Vianna’s work or do you want someone who  spells the name of the modality however they want. Some would argue that this is just a petty issue but my question to them is, would this be acceptable  in any other modality e.g. Rei Ki, Pra Nic Healing, Hypno Therapy or Psycho Logy to name but a few. Some ThetaHealing™ teachers and practitioner’s can’t even get the spelling of Vianna’s name right. Again it looks like a minor detail but is it really?

In Australia, ThetaHealing™ is listed in Magazines as Theta which only contributes to peoples confusion of what it really is. I have had arguments with magazines that I have advertised in, to change the word to ThetaHealing™ with limited success because people are reluctant to change. Why, well apparently it was all set up too long go and no one apart from me has ever had an issue with it. So if something that was done in the past is wrong, it would seem by their thinking that we just have to get over it. I don’t think so!! There is a very simple concept that is ” if you don’t value it, either will anyone else”. So because I value ThetaHealing™ I will continue in my quest to have people spell it correctly, and one person at a time the change will happen.

This is why all too often ThetaHealing™ is compared to Scientology and other Theta brainwave techniques, because the name Theta is not an adequate descriptor, it is only a part of what we do. We utilise the Theta brainwaves to get ourselves into a Theta State and then we perform our healings whilst in this Theta State. Pretty simple really.

So when people ask me why I am so passionate about this issue, I will ask them why they are not? ThetaHealing™ was instrumental in fully turning my life around, and I truly appreciate Vianna for sharing this modality with the world, so I will represent this modality with the same appreciation and respect. Hardcore?? Probably! Do I know what I believe in and am passionate about? Absolutely! What is it that fills you with the same passion??

Expectations and how they influence the way we live our life

Recently, I ran a ThetaHealing™ practice group on that very subject. Expectations seem to be a harmless enough thing to have or are they??

People in business and sales will use expectations as a way of motivating them towards success, e.g. I will be the number 1 sales person in my field by the time I am 30, or I expect that 30% of people I talk to will buy from me. But there is a darker side to the expectation that most people ignore. What about the sales person that expects the customer to hang up when they cold call them. This can be paralysing.

Let’s put this terms of our everyday life. From the very moment we are born, expectations are placed upon us. Or life is mapped out before us by our parents, the school system then locks us into an expedition of setting expectations that often stay with us for the rest of our lives.  Eventually as we grow up and strive to be independent, we sadly realise that we will probably never measure up to what was set for us so long ago. In everything that you do you will have some type of expectation invested in the outcome. I know that for a long time I expected to be bad at math. Why? Because I was told when I was at school that I would never make anything of myself and maths was beyond me.

All too often we find ourselves wanting to live up to someone’s (including our own) expectation of us, but have you ever thought about the struggle that we have living down to someone’s expectation of us. I once had a Grandmother that, from the day I was born, would compare me to my cousins and say that I would never make anything of myself. I grew up with that belief because it was all I ever heard. I would work extra hard to prove her wrong, but always in the back of my mind her words would be playing over and over. Anytime that I would do something in my life, I had the expectation of failure, and of never being good enough. Have I ever blamed her, absolutely not!  She is one of my many teachers, and now I have learnt the lesson, it is time to more on. My next teacher is waiting.

This belief had been a recurring theme throughout my life until I actually learnt to recognise these limiting expectations and by utilising ThetaHealing™ to change them in an instant. I am now free from my Grandmothers harsh words, free to be good at math and most of all free to be me.

I now am passionate about trying  doing new things just to see what I really am good at. I no longer have any expectations of failure or of F**king it up (this is one of the most common expectations that people have of themselves). I challenge you to see what expectations you have holding you back. We will revisit this topic in future posts, we have only just scratched the surface.

Discernment on what influences you

One of my favourite books starts with the quote:

Believe nothing. No matter where you read it, or who has said it, not even if I have said it, Unless it agrees with your own reason, And your common sense.    Buddha

That book is ThetaHealing by Vianna Stibal and that one quote has had a huge impact on my life.

As with anyone else on the Spiritual path, I have certainly attracted a multitude of people who want to tell me how to do things. And to start off with I was a very willing subject. I was “trying” to be a vegetarian, “trying” not to eat chocolate or drink coffee, in the process of “killing” my ego, and only having positive thoughts. Whew, it was so much hard work. I began to wonder if it was all worth it. But, I had a huge belief that I had to struggle, so a part of me was actually enjoying all the BS ( BS is either Belief Systems or Bull S**t, or both you can decide for your self). Also remember that I was in the depths of depression, so I was very vulnerable and had no self-worth what so ever, so I was like a giant super sponge.

I was transitioning from the Army, who always told me what to do , and when to do it, to now a life full of freedom and it filled me with immense fear. I was really open to people telling me what to do.  It wasn’t until I started my ThetaHealing journey that I started to get my brain back. It had been hiding away battered and bruised and seemingly unwilling to assist me in anyway. On my first ThetaHealing course I learnt to balance my brain chemistry, i.e. Seretonin, Nor Adrenaline, Dopamine etc, which allowed me to remain drug free. Whilst I was in the Army I had a horrific reaction to some antidepressants and I never wanted to take them ever again, so for me this was the attraction to do that course.

Also on the Basic ThetaHealing Course there is the DNA activation, which was life altering. I was better prepared to handle the toxicity of daily life and was able to recover from depression. Just a thought on recovery from diseases and disorders, people will always label themselves as a “survivor” but is that just limiting their recovery. I want to do more than “survive”, I want to  ”thrive” and I am.

So since starting my ThetaHealing journey I have learnt that I do not have to give up anything in order to get something else e.g. Coffee, meat, my physical health or anything else for that matter. I am very intuitive/psychic and I keep developing those skills on a daily basis. As I grow Spiritually I know that my desire for certain things deminishes, such as alcohol, but for me there is no substitute for chocolate. I believe that everything in moderation will lead to a harmonious thriving existence.

One more thought about having discernment on what influences us. I once thought that the words ”Follow your Bliss” by Joseph Campbell were so clever so I started living them, then one day it occurred to me that in following something you never quite reach it! So now I live by the words “Live your Bliss” by Pauline Longdon. This is a great example of discernment. Instead of taking a one size fits all appraoch to your Spirituality, take only what fits you as an individual and if you like something that doesn’t quite fit, change it not you! You are wonderful the way you are, you may need to move some junk out of the way so you can see it. ThetaHealing gave me the tools I needed to do just that and much, much more.

I am now great friends with my ego, I eat chocolate, I am very psychic/ intuitive and I am living my bliss. I have the discernment to know what I need in order to grow Spiritually. My life is brilliant because I choose it to be that way. If I can do this, I am sure that anyone else can.

It’s Your Life, you choose!!

How many times in your life do you remember thinking that everything was out of your control? I can remember too many times to list here. All too often I would just say to myself that I was being flexible and “going with the flow”, but I was seriously deluding myself. It just kept me from making a decision to commit to something that I would probably just end up ruining. It was such a life-preserving pattern that was apparently keeping me safe. The only problem was, it wasn’t.

In the Military, I was so flexible that I was called upon to do things that others wouldn’t. I saw this as being of service and eventually I would be rewarded for it. This never happened, but what did happen was that I constantly expected to rise to the occasion, a type of performance punishment, until I was totally burnt out. That was a very scary day indeed. I had seen myself as most Military people see themselves, six-foot tall and bulletproof, but on this day I was just over five foot tall and not even waterproof. That was the day that I owned up to my depression.

It would be over one and a half years before I would feel secure enough to own anything or even take responsiblity for any aspect of my life. My depression consumed every aspect of my life and numbed me from my harsh reality. I guess that if I had been able to really feel the pain of my life, the outcome would have been a very different one. Maybe it was that numbness that helped me on to my spiritual path. The thoughts such as “I have nothing left to lose…” and “they already think the worst of you…” were main players in my search for alternative treatment.

I used ThetaHealing™ to not only get me out of depression but to continually change my negative, ineffectual beliefs as they presented themselves, into positive, empowering beliefs that allowed me to take responsibility of my own life and ultimately my own reality. This has made a massive difference in my life to the extent that my compensation claim for major depression was actually rejected because the Military Specialist could see no evidence of depression. I had done so much work on changing beliefs and healing myself that I didn’t receive any monetary compensation. Was I upset at this? Absolutely, but I had two choices, either fight for what I thought that I was entitled to, or  take it as a compliment that I did some awesome healings and get on with my life. And that is exactly what I chose to do!

So what do you choose in your life? Do you merely survive or do you thrive? Who is responsible for your life? If the answer does not have your name in it, you have some work to do.

Finding ThetaHealing, the journey begins…

New to the world of blogging this is going to quite a journey. But you know, I have been through worse and this is the inspiration behind this blog. We all have our own individual stories of how we got here and I will slowly share with you mine, and I would like to hear about yours.

In 2005, I was discharged from the Australian Army with the diagnosis of Major Depression.  There were may things that lead to this situation but looking back now I would not change anything that has brought me to now. The thing with depression is that people can’t see what is broken. With a broken leg you have a cast, with depression you have nothing so people do not believe you. So most of the time I suffered in silence, fearing the inevitable prospect of being discharged with no hope for the future. My body  had a horrible reaction to Antidepressant and counselling was to stop at my discharge. I felt like I was being discarded like human rubbish after a career where I would have died for my country, this was the thanks I received. Discharge day came and went without any cause for celebration or acknowledgment for all I had contributed, 14 years of my life finished with nothing to look forward to.

About a month before my discharge I had a breakthrough which was totally unexpected. I had been given a book to read. Now I need to explain that depression and reading for me did not mix well. I had lost most of my confidence and concentration to the degree that I could not read, write or speak unless it was absolutely necessary. So to be given a book is not anything special, but to read that book was a miracle. The name of the book … “The Care and feeding of Indigo Children”, by Doreen Virtue. This book started an avalanche of personal growth that has no sign of stopping even now.

So what was so special about this book, well it was like an operating manual for my life. It answered questions that I had been asking all my life. It prompted me to search on the internet for more answers and totally lead me to ThetaHealing™.

It was through these tools that I slowly started to relearn, recreate and eventually reclaim my life. Was ThetaHealing™ the only thing I found, absolutely not, was it the one that worked the best, absolutely!!

And this is what this blog is all about. My journey from the darkness and despair of depression to becoming Australia’s first ThetaHealing™ Master. Have I stopped there, hell no!! Recently I was awarded a ThetaHealing™ Certificate of Science and the journey continues. I am passionate about ThetaHealing™ and passionate about informing people who want to know about how this amazing healing modality can change their life in ways that have only dreamt of.

I would like to end this post with a quote ” Believe nothing. No matter where you read it, or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason, and your own commonsense. Buddha”

So to that end if what is written in this blog inspires you, awesome. If it does not, thank you for reading and your time.

Love, Light, Laughter and Learning,

Pauline
